Sam Dalby was not even on Leeds’ books yet a year ago, signing from Leyton Orient in January.
He quickly made an impression for Leeds’ under-23 side and scored for the first team in pre-season.
He remains on the fringes, and doesn’t look close to a first team shot.
Even with Patrick Bamford out injured, Dalby can’t get onto the Leeds bench, with Ryan Edmondson preferred.
If this situation does not change by January, when Bamford is due back, Dalby should look for a loan to a League One or League Two side to try and emulate Mallik Wilks’ success.
