Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Heung-Min Son was in sensational form once again to help the North Londoners to three points and their best ever start in the Premier League.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored a pair of wonderful goals, one with his left foot and one with his right, to put a dominant Spurs side 2-0 up in the first half, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side eventually winning 2-1.

It was the South Korean’s second successive stunning away performance, having scored another brace in the 4-0 win against Stoke City.

If anything, Son was even better against Middlesbrough, especially in the first half, where Boro fullback Antonio Barragan was given a torrid time, and the Spurs man looked like scoring every time he got the ball.

Both of Son’s goals saw him dribble past a host of players before finishing past Victor Valdes, and the 24-year-old had plenty of wonderful moments where he displayed outstanding close control when beating his man.

It saw him register seven successful take-ons – a huge number considering the next highest in the Spurs side was Jan Vertonghen with two.

Son also had more touches than any other Spurs player except Christian Eriksen, while also winning more duels for possession than any other player on the pitch.

With another stunning performance like this, it is clear the South Korea star is now a vital member of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven.
