Liverpool face Real Madrid this evening in a repeat of last season’s Champions League final.
The Reds have had an underwhelming season to date, but they have hit a bit of form recently and come into this game hopeful of getting a victory.
Of course, getting a result against the reigning European champions is not an easy task, but on those European nights at Anfield, anything can happen when the Kop is in full voice.
With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Reds’ starting XI for this huge game.

We think that Liverpool may well name an unchanged XI from the team that beat Newcastle at the weekend.
As the old adage goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and after an impressive showing at St James’ Park, we think Jurgen Klopp may continue on with this team.
Of course, injury and fitness issues play a part in this selection, but, to be honest, most of these players have earned the right to start here.
This would represent the first Champions League starts for Liverpool for both Stefan Bajcetic and Cody Gakpo, and they’ll both be keen to impress if given this opportunity.
Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez does start up front after picking up a shoulder injury at the weekend, but with that issue not looking too serious, he should be able to play here.
This is arguably the Reds’ strongest XI at this moment in time, and while it won’t be easy for the Merseyside club to get a result here, they come into this game in red-hot form and will have the backing of the Anfield crowd for this, potentially season-defining, Champions League tie.
