Leeds United’s fine recent form continues after they picked up a 1-0 home win over Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

Manager Garry Monk was considered to be under pressure earlier this month, but recent results suggest that the former Swansea boss is really building something impressive at Elland Road.

With 2-1 win and 2-0 wins over Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City respectively, Leeds boosted their league position, and then beat Blackburn again in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, this time 1-0.

It’s now four wins in a row in all competitions and three clean sheets on the bounce too after Chris Wood’s first half goal handed Leeds all three points against Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

The result means that Leeds are now up into the top half of the table as they sit in 12th place, just three points off the top six after a fine run of results.

Leeds now travel to Bristol City on Tuesday evening as they look to continue that form, and they received messages of support from two former players on Saturday evening.

Former midfielder Andy Couzens, who started his career with the club, took to Twitter to claim that momentum is building at Elland Road after a ‘great result’ against Ipswich.

Meanwhile, ex-England international Tony Dorigo – who played more than 200 games for Leeds – also took to Twitter, stating that it was great to see Leeds claim another win and move into the top half of the table.
