Tottenham youngster made his debut for England’s under-21 side.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks made his England under-21 debut last night in the fixture with France.

England lost the game 3-2, with Celtic striker Moussa Dembele bagging a brace.

Sunderland’s Duncan Watmore and Chelsea’s Lewis Baker scored England’s goals, with Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson also among the debutants.

For Winks, stepping up a level was a reward for his recent progression into Tottenham’s first team squad.
