Liverpool 3-2 AC Milan
This week delivered a game which was everything the European Cup is about.
Liverpool v AC Milan. What a tie. Two of the competition’s most decorated sides, the Italians visiting Anfield for the first time.
The game got off to a fierce start with the hosts completely on top and rewarded with a goal as Fikayo Tomori deflected Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross into his own net.
Mo Salah went on to miss a penalty moments later but the Reds remained in control.
Then against the run of play Milan snatched two goals before halftime.
Anfield wasn’t having it and shortly after the restart Liverpool levelled the tie through Mo Salah.
Then up stepped Jordan Henderson, the skipper rifled a Gerrard-esque effort into the bottom corner to win the game.

Two legends of the game, two of the greatest centre backs of all time together.
