France came from a goal down on Friday evening as they hammered Bulgaria 4-1 at the Stade de France in a World Cup qualifier.
Looking to bounce back from their Euro 2016 final defeat to Portugal, France are hoping to coast through to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but have been handed a tough group containing the Netherlands and Sweden.

On Friday evening, it was Bulgaria who took on Didier Deschamps’ side, and they stunned the world with the opening goal as Mihail Aleksandrov converted from the penalty spot after a foul from Bacary Sagna.
France did eventually take control of the game though, as Kevin Gameiro scored twice either side of strikes from Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann.

Deschamps will be delighted with how his side responded to going behind, and many took to Twitter during and after the game to comment on Moussa Sissoko’s performance.
The recent signing Tottenham signing was a vital player for Deschamps at the European Championships, and appears to have established himself as a favourite player of the France boss.

However, some fans – mostly Manchester United supporters – took to Twitter at the start of the game to question just how he gets in the team ahead of Red Devils ace Anthony Martial, or some noted how he’s in the team ahead of Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante.
Once France settled down though, Sissoko impressed many with pace and power, with Tottenham fans not only pleased with his display, but also relieved to see that the knock he picked up against Manchester City wasn’t a serious one.
After the final whistle, Sissoko was praised as being ‘excellent’ – and here are some of the tweets on his selection and performance on Friday evening…
