Georginio Wijnaldum was in action last night as Netherlands and Belgium played out a 1-1 draw in an international friendly.
The winger was one of the more impressive players on show, in a game which disappointed in terms of a spectacle.
Wijnaldum looked like a player full of confidence, willing to take players on and doing so successfully, a signal of how happy he is with his football at present at Liverpool.

The Dutchman scored his first goal for the Reds at the weekend, and played a role in one of last night’s game’s big moments, delivering a cross which saw club mate Simon Mignolet clatter Tottenham and Netherlands striker Vincent Janssen, which led to the forward’s withdrawal.
Holland took the lead through a goal from Ajax attacker Davy Klaasen, before Belgium and Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco levelled eight minutes from time.
Importantly from a Liverpool perspective, Wijnaldum came through the game without an injury, although he is not out of the woods yet.

Netherlands face Luxembourg on Sunday in a World Cup qualifier in which the winger is expected to feature, before he can return to his club.
