Former Aston Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi had fans of his former club scratching their heads after a terrific display for Feyenoord against Manchester United.
The 31-year-old lined up against world record signing Paul Pogba in the Europa League clash, and not much was anticipated from him prior to kick off.
El Ahmadi proved himself and showed what he is capable of, by marshalling Pogba effectively and leading Feyenoord to a memorable 1-0 win.

Tonny Wilhema scored the winner late in the second half for Feyenoord, inflicting a second successive defeat on Manchester United.
El Ahmadi is known to fans in England after signing for Aston Villa from the Dutch side in 2012, before rejoining them two years later.

During that spell he made 51 appearances for the side managed by Paul Lambert, and was a steady if unspectacular player.
His display against Manchester United was up there with his best for Villa, and given the trajectory of his former club, he will not be regretting leaving them behind.
