Aston Villa stopper Pierluigi Gollini conceded three as Italy lost to England.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini had a forgettable evening in action for Italy’s under-21 side against England.

England won the match at St Mary’ Stadium 3-2, with Saints defender Jack Stephens scoring an injury time winner past a prone Gollini.

The Villa stopper conceded the first goal of the game after six minutes to Leicester City’s Demarai Gray, before Chelsea prospect Lewis Baker later added a second.

Gollini’s Italy were unlucky to lose, having pulled back two goals themselves, before Stephens grabbed a late winner.

The Villa stopper did make a number of saves to keep the score down, but also looked uncertain at times, and will be disappointed to have been beaten on three occasions.
