Tottenham Hotspur winger Clinton N’Jie gifted his loan side Marseille an early Christmas present last night by stepping up to score a dramatic winner.
N’Jie spent 89 minutes of the match away to Bastia on the bench, before coming on with a minute to go with the scores at 1-1, replacing former Newcastle man Remy Cabella.
The Cameroon international pounced on his one and only opportunity to slot home a winner deep into injury time.
He barely cut a smile as he celebrated, supressing his delight.

The win ensures Marseille enter Christmas in sixth position in Ligue 1, having now won their last four matches in succession.
It was N’Jie’s fourth goal of the season and his second in his last four games, and there are signs that he is ready to start making an impact after a frustrating 2016 so far.
N’Jie had struggled with injury at Tottenham and could not make an impression on the first team when fit, and has had a mixed spell at Marseille so far.

As yet he had not really done enough to convince the French club that he is worth buying permanently, but more vital contributions like last night and he will quickly turn the tide in his favour.
Tottenham by the same token want to see enough from him which would suggest he can come back stronger for them if it comes down to it, and N’Jie has now set himself up for a big second half of the season.
