Rangers allowed Josh Windass to leave Ibrox last summer.

Wigan Athletic picked up a crucial point in their battle against relegation on Sunday, claiming a 1-1 draw against league leaders Norwich City at the DW Stadium.
The Latics actually took the lead through a Reece James penalty, and it took an 81st minute leveller from Teemu Pukki to rescue a point for Paul Cook’s side.
Wigan now sit two points clear of the relegation zone, meaning they aren’t quite safe yet, but every point is important as they attempt to pull away from Rotherham United.
Whilst Wigan are desperate for points, their big summer signing Josh Windass was left on the bench on Sunday, only coming on as a substitute with 18 minutes to play.
Intriguingly, it was another ex-Rangers player who started ahead of him, with Kal Naismith featuring in the side before going off as Windass came on as part of a double change in the second half.
Whilst Windass was a big-money exit from Rangers after a superb season last term, Naismith came up through the Rangers ranks and featured in the third division before moving on to Accrington.

Now together at Rangers, Naismith got the nod on Sunday, and Wigan fans have been taking to Twitter to hail Naismith’s display, feeling he showed everything Windass needs to show, whilst criticising the decision to bring on the ‘pathetic’ Windass and take Naismith out.
Rangers fans also paid attention, almost mocking Windass for being overlooked in favour of Naismith, feeling that it just goes to show that the Gers made the right decision flogging him last summer.
