‘Why not?’: Message from £44m Liverpool ace’s wife has fans talking after Man City defeat

Fabinho’s wife, Rebeca Tavares, has defended Liverpool on Twitter following their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool have now fallen ten points behind the Premier League leaders and have suffered three home defeats on the bounce – all after going 68 league games unbeaten on Merseyside.

When the game was concluded, Fabinho’s wife simply tweeted #YNWA.

A Liverpool supporter responded to that message by saying: ‘Not now Rebeca’ to which she issued this response below:

Fabinho, who signed for the Reds for £44 million in 2018 (Sky Sports), played alongside Jordan Henderson at the back at Anfield and the converted centre-back gave away a penalty in the first half.

At the time, he would have felt that he got away with one because Ilkay Gundogan blazed his shot over the bar.

But not many expected what happened in the second half, including two out-of-character mistakes from his fellow countryman, Alisson Becker, in between the sticks.

From then on, Man City ran riot even though Mo Salah found the back of the net from the penalty spot.
