Tottenham Hotspur reportedly scouted Galatasaray winger Bruma on Sunday.

According to Turkish newspaper Gazete Vatan, Tottenham Hotspur scouted Galatasaray winger Bruma on Sunday – but their presence ‘distracted’ him in a poor performance.
Bruma, 22, has long been considered as one of the most exciting wingers in Europe, all the way back to his days with Sporting Lisbon, before he made his 2013 move to Galatasaray.
Having impressed in a loan spell with Real Sociedad last season, Bruma returned to Turkey this season, and he has dazzled with eight goals in six assists in 24 games.
The Portuguese wide man, who was born in Guinea-Bissau, has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham recently, to the point where Galatasaray had to release a statement on their official website stating that no deal had been struck with Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

However, Turkish newspaper Gazete Vatan now report that Tottenham did in fact send a scout to watch Bruma in action against Fenerbahce on Sunday – but that scout may not have been too impressed.
Galatasaray lost the game 1-0, and Bruma was substituted on 68 minutes in favour of fellow winger Garry Mendes Rodrigues, having put in a poor performance.

Gazete Vatan claim that Bruma was ‘distracted’ by the presence of a Tottenham scout, and ultimately ‘ruined his game’ as he was almost trying too hard to impress in an evening to forget for the winger.
It remains to be seen whether Bruma’s display has put Tottenham off, but it seems that Spurs will be in the market for a pacey winger this summer, with Bruma a potential alternative to Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
