Boxing fans are sharing their thoughts on the introduction of yet another new title belt.

When Dana White introduced Zuffa Boxing earlier this year, he said he wanted to bring real change to the sport.

Now, White has followed through on that idea by creating a brand-new world title that will be unique to Zuffa Boxing.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn called the move ‘cringe’, and fans concur after seeing the belt.

Turki Alalshikh took to social media on Wednesday to share a photo of the new Zuffa Boxing championship belt.

He was joined in the picture by White and Nick Khan, both key figures in the promotion.

“Today I am happy, I met with my brothers Dana and Nick in Las Vegas, and they gifted me the first Zuffa Boxing belt – made with beautiful diamonds,” Alashikh posted on X.

“This is a huge start for Zuffa, and only the very best will be lucky enough to win this belt.”

Even though comments were turned off on his post, there were still plenty of reactions elsewhere online.

Backlash over Zuffa Boxing belt design

Fans reacted quickly to the new design, and the response was far from positive.

“That belt is awful,” one fan wrote in response to a Ring Magazine’s tweet.

Another added: “The ugliest belt in the history of boxing.”

A third person chimed in: “I support Zuffa boxing, but that belt is terrible… they need to redesign it ASAP.”

“Looks cheap like a costume belt you buy at the toy store,” someone else wrote.

A fifth simply said: “The belt sucks, and so does the name.”

A sixth fan tweeted: “That’s the worst-looking belt I’ve ever seen.”
