Last season Nottingham Forest were struck by a transfer embargo and it meant some major wheeling and dealing had to be done under Dougie Freedman.

That included some moves in the loan market.

But none of those players remained at Forest beyond their loan deals. So where are they now?

Kyle Ebecilio

The first of Freedman’s loanees. The Dutch talent arrived from FC Twente, but played just five times.

He went on loan to ADO Den Haag but is currently without a club and battling Guillain-Barre Syndrome which is threatening his career.

Chris O’Grady

After scoring just two goals in 21 appearances for Forest he returned to Brighton. Now on loan at Burton Albion.

Perhaps the star loanee. The Portuguese international might have made the European Championship winning side had he not suffered a groin injury.

Norwich City signed him for big money in the summer and he has impressed at Carrow Road when fit.

Jonny Williams

The Welsh international went on to have a good Euros with his nation, despite misfiring at Forest.

Now on loan at Ipswich Town.

Liam Trotter

Freedman knew Trotter from Bolton and brought him into strengthen the squad. He scored on debut, but that was about the only impact he made.

Now back at Bolton and fighting for promotion to the Championship.
