Chris Sutton believes Celtic should sign Hibernian midfielder John McGinn.

Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to debate whether the club should sign Hibernian midfielder John McGinn this summer, following Chris Sutton’s recommendation.
The former Celtic striker told the Daily Record that the Hoops should look to sign the £5 million rated midfielder as a long-term replacement for ageing skipper Scott Brown.
McGinn is enjoying a decent spell at Hibs under Neil Lennon, and he caught Celtic’s attentions earlier on in the campaign as he netted twice in an entertaining 2-2 draw in September.

The 23-year-old has become a Scotland international, winning seven caps thus far, and there’s no doubt he would improve as a player if he joined the Scottish champions this summer.
Sutton rates him as the second best midfielder in the Scottish Premiership right now, telling the Daily Record: “Outside of Brown, he’s been the best and most influential player in the Premiership this season. Lennon has built a cracking team at Easter Road and McGinn is the hearbeat of it.”

McGinn has featured in 29 league matches so far this term, scoring five goals and displaying both drive and determination on a regular basis as Hibs look to finish in the top four this term.
The talented midfielder comes from a Celtic background, and he may fancy a switch to Celtic Park, rather than a move south of the border with Championship clubs thought to be keen on his services.

Taking to Twitter, however, Celtic fans don’t seem to be too keen – as they see their own Olivier Ntcham as the man to step in for Brown when the veteran decides to call it a day.
