West Ham United have struggled so far under new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

West Ham United lead the charts as the top team in Europe – but unfortunately for them it’s for the wrong reasons as no other club have picked up more disciplinary points so far this season.
According to popular statistic website Whoscored, the Hammers’ 13 yellow cards is more than any other team in Europe’s top five leagues, with Everton’s seven yellows and two reds putting them in second place.
West Ham have endured a terrible start to life under new boss Manuel Pellegrini, losing all four of the Premier League matches as they currently sit bottom of the table.
Losing away games to Liverpool and Arsenal can be forgiven as points there would be deemed a bonus but coming out second best at home to Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers is unacceptable.
West Ham supporters are demanding and will expect better from a side which has had over £80 million spent on it during the summer, with players such as Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson arriving at the club.
Fellow summer signings Jack Wilshere and Ryan Fredericks top the list with two yellow cards apiece, but arguably more worrying for West Ham is that 11 different players have been booked already this season.

It’s a concern for boss Pellegrini, and it may illustrate a general lack of pace throughout the side with cautions perhaps coming as a result of players being caught out of position and fouling to break up attacks.
The Hammers’ next set of fixtures include a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton and then a home game against Chelsea, games which could see further cautions coming West Ham’s way.
