Arsenal have signed Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes new signing Lucas Perez is much more than just a goal scorer as he told the club’s official website of the attributes his new signing will bring to the team.
Perez’s move to the Gunners was finally made official on Tuesday and supporters are already looking forward to seeing him in action as the Spaniard boasts a superb goal-scoring record.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a prolific campaign last season as he notched an impressive 17 league goals, including a spell where he found the net seven times in as many games.

Wenger, however, stresses that the former Atletico Madrid man has much more to his game than just goals as he told the club’s official website how he is very much an all-round forward.
“He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year,” Wenger said.
Perez will bolster Arsenal’s attacking options and it now remains to be seen how Wenger manages to fit him in a side containing the likes of Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck when fit.

Many supporters and Premier League observers have longed for the Arsenal manager to bring in a top class forward and while Perez is not a household name, he could be exactly what the club need.
The Gunners have begun their campaign with four points from their opening three matches, and after the international break they host Southampton before facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
