Aston Villa drew 2-2 at home to Nottingham Forest.

Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo said he was left shaking his head at full-time following the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in disbelief at his side failing to pick up all three points, Sky Sports report.
Forest took the lead Apostolos Vellios yet Villa turned it around in the second period, with goals from Ross McCormack and Rudy Gestede putting the hosts 2-1 up with only 16 minutes remaining.
At that moment it was no less than Villa deserved after completely dominating the game, therefore after the Tricky Trees grabbed an unlikely equaliser two minutes from time frustrations boiled over.

Di Matteo was left shaking his head at the full-time whistle, and the Italian coach later explained his reaction was as a result of pure frustration at not getting what he felt his side deserved.
“We need to win these games, it’s as simple as that. That’s why I was shaking my head at the end of the game, it’s really difficult to take,” Di Matteo told Sky Sports.
“I’m frustrated by the result because the performance was very good. We dominated the whole game. We hit the post, the bar, the ‘keeper makes a couple of world (class) saves but we are moving in the right direction.”

Villa had a total of 26 efforts throughout the afternoon, whereas the visitors managed just three strikes on goal.
It was a tough result to take for Villa, and it’s the second home game this season where they’ve seen victory turned into draws as a result of coneding late on.
The draw leaves Di Matteo’s men in the bottom half of the Championship table, having picked up just six points from their opening six league matches.
