Derby County’s Tom Huddlestone was sent off against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest supporters have questioned Derby County midfielder Tom Huddlestone’s thoughts on his red card of Sunday by suggesting the player fully deserved to be sent off on Sunday at the City Ground.
The East Midlands derby is a fixture which as seen numerous red cards over the past decade, and Sunday was no different as Derby this time were reduced to ten men during the full-blooded 0-0 draw.
Tackles were strong on either side, but Huddlestone in the end was given his marching orders for a slight touch on Lee Tomlin as the attacking midfielder looked to break forward.

Taking to social media site Twitter after the game, the former Tottenham Hotspur man felt his dismissal was harsh and added that it was the Rams who were the only team trying to win the game.
Without doubt, Derby were the more likely side to win the game on Sunday as they created a couple of decent openings while Forest failed to register a single shot on target over the 90 minutes.
The Reds came in to the game on a five-match unbeaten run, while many Derby fans were fearing for the worst after a run of just one win in their last nine games had seen them slip from second to fifth in the Championship table.

But Gary Rowett can be pleased with his side’s efforts as they took the game to Forest, and the introduction of on-loan attacking midfielder Kasey Palmer gave the Rams another dimension.
Huddlestone’s sending off with just under ten minutes remaining, however, stemmed Derby’s attacking intentions and at the time it felt incredibly harsh as he barely touched Tomlin as he tumbled over.

Forest fans were delighted to see the once England international receive his marching orders, and they were not shy in telling the player via Twitter how his rough tactics warranted a second yellow card on Sunday.
