According to a recent report in AS, Fulham are keen on signing Espanyol’s highly-rated defender David Lopez, although the Spanish club are seemingly unwilling to sell him for anything less than £35 million.
Such a figure for a 28-year-old with no Premier League experience is simply absurd, despite the player’s obvious ability, and now Fulham have another reason to move on to other targets.
A fresh report in Mundo Deportivo says the defender has joined Espanyol on their U.S tour amid speculation over a potential transfer – a clear sign that he is focusing on his upcoming campaign with the La Liga club.

Fulham would be wise to move on from Lopez, Lthough finding an equally adept defender who is comfortable on the ball and available for transfer could be quite a challenge this far into the summer.
