Tottenham Hotspur have good reason to start Lucas Moura at Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura should be in contention for a start against Crystal Palace this weekend, considering how effective he has been over the past year when featuring from the beginning.
The 25-year-old found there was too much competition for places at former club Paris Saint-Germain, the summer arrivals of Brazilian superstar Neymar and Kylian Mbappe pushing him down the pecking order.

It prompted the Brazil international to look elsewhere, and ultimately allowed Spurs to pick him up during the January transfer window for what many believe to be a bargain deal.
Moura may be a little off the pace right now due to a lack of starts, yet when he has been called upon over the past year he has shown why he is one of the most exciting attackers around.
As shown by the tweet posted by Opta Joe, the former Sao Paolo man has been involved in 18 goals in his last 20 starts for both PSG and Spurs, scoring 12 and adding a further six assists.
Spurs are not exactly light when it comes to attacking talent as Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli, Cristian Eriksen and Erik Lamela battle for the three spots behind Harry Kane, but Moura adds a different dimension altogether.

The Brazilian is extremely quick and direct with the ball, and he is not afraid to beat his man in wider areas in order to create that extra space for his teammates waiting in the middle.
He has the attributes to offer Tottenham a different threat and, after impressing in the FA Cup clash with Rochdale, there is plenty of reason to start him again in the upcoming London derby at Palace.
