Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League table.

Southampton manager Mark Hughes believes Liverpool can win the Premier League title, after seeing the Reds ease past his side at Anfield with a comfortable 3-0 victory, the BBC reports.
“Liverpool can win it and we have great respect for what they can do. They have got a lot of energy, pace, technical ability and hunger to go that extra step this season,” the Manchester United legend told reporters.
Liverpool ran out easy winners against the Saints, scoring three times in the opening 45 minutes as Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah found the net, after an own goal had given the hosts an early lead.
Jurgen Klopp’s side’s victory followed by Chelsea’s 0-0 draw at West Ham United on Sunday means Liverpool are clear leaders at the top, having won six out of six Premier League matches so far.
Liverpool have beaten decent opponents on the road too, in Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur, illustrating the sort of toughness needed to win the title. Anfield, too, is a fortress (as usual).

The Southampton manager’s comment have been echoed by former Liverpool player / manager Graham Souness,
who has said that he believes that Liverpool has its best chance to winning the top division since the club won the old First Division in 1990.
