Derby County fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of former player Cyrus Christie after he made his third Premier League start for the Cottagers at the weekend.

The Republic of Ireland international right-back was chosen to start Fulham’s clash with Arsenal at Craven Cottage in the day’s early kick-off, and it’s a game he will quickly want to forget.

The former Rams man was tasked to play in a wing-back role but he was repeatedly caught out of position and offered very little from a defensive perspective, with Arsenal capitalising to win handsomely 5-1.

Derby fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to his performance, with some of the best comments below:

Arsenal were extremely clinical at Craven Cottage, scoring five goals from just nine shots in total, while they edged possession having 51% of the ball (BBC).

The win means the Gunners have now recorded nine victories in succession in all competitions, shooting them up the table and leaving opponents Fulham looking nervously over their shoulders.

As for Christie, he has profited from Ryan Frederick’s summer move to West Ham United and has made three Premier League starts for Fulham this term – with the Cottagers conceding 10 goals in those games.
