Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is a popular figure among supporters.

Blackburn Rovers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the latest reports regarding a proposed contract renewal for manager Tony Mowbray.
Mowbray is set to travel to India to meet with the club’s owners during the next international break and chief executive Steve Waggott has confirmed conversations will be held over a new contract for the Rovers manager.
“It will be looked at,” Waggott told the Lancashire Telegraph. “We want to have discussions with Tony not just about triggering an option of another year but in terms of a more long term basis.”
Mowbray’s current deal expires at the end of this season and, although there is an option to extend that for another 12 months, Blackburn supporters feel Mowbray is deserving of a longer deal.
The former West Bromwich Albion manager guided Rovers back to the Championship following their relegation to League One, and he holds a decent record having won 43 of 85 games in charge of the Ewood Park club.
On their return to the Championship the Lancashire side have impressed, as they currently sit just outside a top six spot in the table, losing only two of their 12 league matches to date.

Aside from results on the pitch, Blackburn supporters have been impressed by the team’s playing style and Mowbray’s eye for talent in the transfer market, with talisman Bradley Dack one of his best signings to date.
