Simone Zaza's father talks up potential West Ham switch

The father of Juventus striker Simone Zaza has told reporters that West Ham United represent a concrete option and they are considering London as a possible next destination, the Daily Mail report.

The Hammers have made no secret of their desire to add a new forward this summer, yet thus far they have been left frustrated after missing out on players such as Carlos Bacca, Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi (the Telegraph).

With just under two weeks left until the transfer deadine, there is still time for West Ham to bring in that elusive forward player and another name heavily linked is Juventus ace Simone Zaza.

The Italy international has often been on the peripherals of the first-team in Turin and with his future there in doubt, his father has come out and commented on a possible switch to East London.

“West Ham are a solution we’d appreciate and represent something more concrete. We’ll have to see what Juventus do and expect news soon.” the striker’s father was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

“We are taking London into serious consideration as his next destination. Simone still has four years on his contract and would happily remain in Turin to give his contribution.”

“Juventus don’t want to sell Simone to a direct rival. Milan, Napoli and Roma would be the options, we’ll see what happens.”
