Derby County have been linked with Dundee midfielder Glen Kamara.

Last week, Here Is The City reported that Derby County are looking at signing Dundee ace Glen Kamara this summer, and the midfielder is exactly the type of player the club should be targeting.
The Rams have reached the Championship playoffs this season after their 4-1 home win over Barnsley on Saturday secured them sixth spot ahead of fellow challengers Preston North End.
Derby County manager Gary Rowett has done a great job in terms of results, yet since his arrival at the back-end of last season the average age of the squad has increased – resulting in what many feels to be a lack of mobility in the side.

In midfield, Derby have options in Tom Huddlestone, Bradley Johnson, Joe Ledley and George Thorne, while duo Craig Bryson and Jacob Butterfield are set to return to the club following loan spells elsewhere.
It’s an area where the Rams are stacked with players, though none possess a great deal of pace and mobility out of possession. It’s a huge weakness which at times has been ruthlessly exploited this season.
Kamara has enjoyed an excellent season north of the border, attracting interest from Premier League duo Swansea City and Bournemouth (HITC).
The 22-year-old only moved to Dundee from Arsenal 12 months ago, but regular first-team football has seen him come on leaps and bounds, and it’s unlikely he will remain at the Scottish club for much longer.

Kamara is predominantly a holding midfielder with an abundance of energy, while also being comfortable in possession and aware of his surroundings – traits you would pick up after years in Arsenal’s academy.
A full Finland international, the midfield enforcer is exactly the type of player Derby sorely lack, and he is the sort of signing which would certainly go down well with the club’s supporters. Kamara’s contract at Dens Park expires in 2019, meaning he also wouldn’t cost the Rams much.
