Jordan Rhodes is on loan at Norwich City from Sheffield Wednesday.
Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to call on the club to sign Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes on a permanent deal after the player admitted he is loving life at Carrow Road.
“From my point of view the idea was that I would be here for the season, that I should get the family down, get settled and chuck myself into life in Norfolk, and I’m loving every minute of it,” Rhodes told the Telegraph.
The striker’s comments came as a result of speculation he could return to Wednesday following the confirmation of Steve Bruce becoming the Owls’ new manager, succeeding the sacked Jos Luhukay.
But Norwich supporters have taken to the 28-year-old, and now they are calling on the cub to sign the loanee on a permanent deal.
Rhodes has predominantly been a bench player at Norwich, with manager Daniel Farke opting to start Teemu Pukki upfront on his own for the majority of their league games thus far.
But the former Blackburn Rovers player has become a popular figure at Carrow Road, scoring some crucial goals including a late equaliser in the recent 1-1 draw away at promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion.
Rhodes’ record stands at six goals in 918 Championship minutes – a goal every 153 minutes which over the course of a season would level out to around 20.
Norwich will be keen to keep him at least until the end of the campaign as Rhodes still has a big part to play in the club’s bid to reach the Premier League as they currently sit third in the league table.
