Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon has had a fantastic season so far.

Ryan Sessegnon has taken to Twitter to share with supporters his delight at winning the Championship Player of the Year award, while rival fans have extended their congratulations.

The 17-year-old left-back come winger has experienced a wonderful individual campaign, scoring 14 league goals and grabbing a further six assists in 43 Championship appearances.

He has been a mainstay in Fulham’s starting XI this season, and his switch in position to a more attacking role has coincided with the club’s incredible unbeaten run stretching back to last year.

The Cottagers are the in-form team in the Championship, and they have made up a huge points deficit to now be within striking distance of automatic promotion rivals Cardiff City in the race for a place in the top-flight.

Regardless of whether Fulham make it or not, Sessegnon is destined to play in the Premier League and his performances this season have already started to attract the biggest clubs in England.

According to a piece in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing his signature with a £40 million-plus move for the wonder-kid but, to Sessegnon’s credit, he has remained focused on his football with Fulham.

After winning both the Championship Young Player of the Year and the Player of the Year award, the attacking winger cited the need to keep developing and highlight promotion with Fulham as his biggest target.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have a tricky encounter with another in-form team in Millwall this weekend, with the Lions boasting a long unbeaten run and a current place in the top six.

Sessegnon will be hoping he and his teammates can avoid the play-offs this season and join Wolverhampton Wanderers via automatic promotion, although many more twists and turns are expected over the coming weeks.

Fulham fans will be desperate for their side to maintain their exceptional form, but they are not the only ones who have congratulated the youngster as many supporters of Premier League clubs would like to see him move on.
