Celtic defeated Rangers 5-0 at Celtic Park to wrap up the league title.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers says his side were outstanding as the Hoops managed to win their seventh successive Scottish Premiership title after drubbing rivals Rangers 5-0 at Celtic Park, Sky Sports reports.
The Hoops knew that all three points against Rangers would secure them the title, so there was extra motivation on both sides as it is a rare occurrence for a title to be decided in an Old Firm clash.
Rangers were still hurting from their abysmal performance in the recent Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic, and boss Graeme Murty would have been keen to see his side play with more intensity at Celtic Park.
For all their efforts, however, the Gers were ultimately brushed aside as Celtic were in rampant mood and scored five excellent goals on their way to clinching yet another league title.

Speaking to reporters immediately after the final whistle, Rodgers said his side did the basics really well in what was an outstanding performance and one the supporters will cherish for a long time.
“Obviously it was a really emotional day in terms of it being a Celtic-Rangers game but to play that way with that intensity and aggression was very pleasing. You have to play football and today we did the basics of the game really well,” Rodgers explained.
“I thought we were outstanding, we could have had more goals, but it was an absolutely outstanding performance and I’m delighted for the supporters. It is a great day for them and it is another title which is important.
“With the expectancy and the heightened pressure the players have still gone out and played really well.
“We’re one game away from winning another treble so it has been an absolutely brilliant season for the players and with the performance today I was really proud of the team.”

Celtic were head and shoulders above their rivals with the exciting Odsonne Edouard grabbing a brace, while James Forrest, Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor also found the net in impressive fashion.
The Hoops – having already won one piece of silverware this season – have the opportunity to win a successive domestic treble as they are set to meet Motherwell in the Scottish Cup final.
Rangers will need a big summer of progress if they wish to challenge Rodgers’ men next season, as performances in the past two Old Firm derbies have shown they are absolutely miles off the pace.
