Derby County signed Mason Mount on loan from Chelsea in July.

Derby County supporters have taken to Twitter to rave about the performance of on loan midfielder Mason Mount, after he made a significant contribution to the Rams’ impressive 3-1 victory over Championship rivals Brentford.
Derby were looking to end a rather disappointing week, after a 1-0 defeat at Rotherham United last weekend was followed up by a frustrating 0-0 stalemate at home to Blackburn Rovers in midweek.
Things didn’t look good for Derby Saturday, as they went 1-0 down to Brentford after just a couple of minutes, but the hosts soon rallied with Mount in inspired form as Lampard’s side went on to score three goals before the break.
After a comfortable second half resulting in a 3-1 Derby win, supporters were delighted at picking up the three points, with some in particular highlighting the brilliance of their on-loan midfielder.
Mount joined Derby from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal in July, joining up with Lampard and his assistant Jody Morri,s and he was soon followed to Pride Park by another Chelsea youngster Fikayo Tomori.
Both players have been superb for the Rams so far this season, but Mount continues to dominate games and show glimpses of real quality.

The 19-year-old gifted midfielder took his goal tally to five goals in 11 games in all competitions this season, with his latest being a sweet free-kick from the edge of the area, which left Brentford’s goalkeeper with no chance. Mount, similar in mould to Lampard, loves to break forward and work the opposition goalkeeper.
The Blues have a brilliant player on their hands, and Derby are certainly benefiting from the Lampard link with Chelsea.
