According to the Mirror, West Bromwich Albion are scouting Monaco striker Lacina Traore with the view of signing him next summer.
The report claims that the Baggies watched the former Everton man in action for CSKA Moscow in midweek, with the player on loan at the Russian club and elegible to play in the Champions League.
West Brom boss Tony Pulis was left a frustrated figure during the summer as the club’s attempts to sign a number of so-called stellar signings fell flat before a mad deadline day rush.
The Baggies did manage to bring in five new players overall yet aside from Nacer Chadli who arrived for a club record fee from Tottenham Hotspur, not many have exactly improved the first-team squad.
Traore, 26, played for the likes of CFR Cluj and Anzhi Makhachkala before joining Monaco in 2014.
The 6ft 8inch Ivory Coast international had a brief but unsuccessful loan spell at Everton in 2014, and his struggles to make an impact in the south of France has seen him move to Moscow on loan.

Traore has managed two goals in five league appearances for CSKA this season, and fresh reports claim his positive start to life with the Russians has now prompted interest from West Brom.
The Baggies were said to have representatives in Germany to watch him in action against Leverkusen in midweek, and they would have been impressed as he contributed to the Russian side’s 2-2 draw.
