Watford have been linked with manager Paco Jemez this summer.
According to the Mirror, Watford are considering Paco Jemez as a potential Quique Sanchez Flores replacement.
The report claims that the current Rayo Vallecano man is to leave the Madrid club at the end of the season, while Watford are seeking an alternative with Flores set to step down this summer.
The Hornets have been terrific in their debut season back in the Premier League, steering well clear of the relegation zone and enjoying a run to the FA Cup semi-finals.
However, in spite of the good work done by Flores, the Watford board are seemingly seeking a managerial change with the former Atletico Madrid man linked with a return to Spain.
The Watford players are currently fully behind the boss, yet it has become quite common during the Pozzo family’s reign at Vicarage Road to change managers when least expected.
Paco Jemez has built up quite a reputation in Spain after guiding minnows Rayo Vallecano to multiple mid-table finishes despite their wage structure paling in comparison to their rivals.
The Madrid club are renowned for their ability to pick up decent young players and resurrect the careers of those deemed not good enough elsewhere, and all doing so with an expansive brand of football.
Jemez has proved himself capable of moving on to a bigger club, and the challenge of the Premier League may interest him as intriguing options in La Liga remain fairly limited.
