Tottenham Hotspur’s Luke Amos could feature regularly this season.

According to a report by Sky Sports (live transfer thread, August 3 at 15:09), Tottenham Hotspur are set to have talks with Luke Amos over a new contract following his impressive pre-season displays.
The 21-year-old talent has started all of Tottenham’s ICC clashes in the US, lining up against La Liga champions Barcelona and Italian duo Roma and AC Milan.
The report claims initial discussions have been scheduled for when Spurs are back in London, while boss Mauricio Pochettino has already hinted the player could be ready for a Premier League start.
“I’m in my fifth year, do you think I am going to be scared to play him? The young players maybe don’t have experience because they are young – the compensation is desire and energy. Players like Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, when they were young, showed desire and energy like the young players on the tour. I think you know very well if I believe in someone younger I don’t care about experience or not,” the Argentine told the Daily Mail.
Spurs have yet to sign anybody this summer; a situation that has no doubt frustrated the club’s supporters with the Premier League season set to begin next weekend.
Injuries to players such as Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko, plus the uncertainty over Moussa Dembele’s future at the club, has seen Amos thrust into action this summer and he has not disappointed.

The talented midfielder only signed a new contract extension last January before joining Stevenage on loan for six months, but his rapid rise could see him rewarded with a new deal in the coming days.
Amos came through the Tottenham youth academy and is looking to follow in the footsteps of Harry Kane, establishing himself as a regular and later developing into a leading star.
The former England U18 international has raw ability and, under the guidance of Pochettino, the right manager to help him develop and receive the opportunities to shine on the biggest stage.
