Stoke City, Birmingham City, Hull City and Bristol City have been linked with Barnsley’s Adam Davies.

According to a report in the Stoke Sentinel, Stoke City are confident of securing the signature of Barnsley goalkeeper Adam Davies despite the interest of several Championship clubs.
Stoke, however, believe they will win the race ahead of their Championship rivals and anticipate the Barnsley goalkeeper signing on the dotted line at the Bet365 Stadium before the end of the month.
The Potters have identified a new goalkeeper as a priority this summer with current number one Jack Butland likely to move back to the Premier League following the club’s failed promotion bid.
Butland is said to be wanted by both Bournemouth and Crystal Palace but Stoke have yet to receive any formal interest.
Manager Nathan Jones knows all about Davies’s capabilities as Barnsley challenged his former side Luton Town to the League One title. Both clubs will be joined in the Championship by either Charlton or Sunderland who contest the League One play-off final.

Davies, 26, played a key role in Barnsley’s promotion as he recorded a club record number of clean sheets in a single campaign.
With his best years still ahead of him, Stoke will be pulling off quite a coup if they can beat the likes of Hull, Birmingham and Lee Johnson’s Bristol City to his signature this summer.
