Blackburn Rovers’ Brad Lyons has been linked with St Mirren.

According to a report in the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn Rovers youngster Brad Lyons is wanted by Scottish Premiership side St Mirren despite only moving to Ewood Park six months ago.
The report claims St Mirren boss Oran Kearney is keen to reunite with Lyons, having previously worked with the Blackburn U23 midfielder at Northern Irish semi-professional club Coleraine.
Lyons initially joined Blackburn on loan until January, but the BBC confirm that his deal at Rovers will become permanent after agreeing a contract until the summer of 2020.
The 21-year-old spoke of his university education, and how Blackburn helping him finish his degree is what prompted him to opt for the Lancashire club when offered the chance during the summer.
“I’m going into my final year at university and I concentrate on my education massively but Blackburn are helping me with my education and that’s very important – that’s what got the deal over the line,” he told the BBC.
Lyons has not made a first-team Championship appearance for Rovers this season, yet he has been in impressive form for the youth team as they try to stay up in the Premier League 2 group following their promotion.

The Lancashire Telegraph report how several clubs have been keeping an eye on Blackburn’s younger players ahead of the January transfer window, but Lyons is considered the standout talent.
St Mirren are currently bottom of the Scottish Premiership, having picked up just nine points from their 18 games thus far, although boss Oran Kearney may feel a strong transfer window could get them out of trouble.
