Southampton’s Graziano Pelle could be on the move this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Southampton’s Graziano Pelle has been offered a whopping £38 million over three years to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai Greenland.
The report claims the Saints striker has become the subject of heavy interest this summer with Chelsea, Everton and AC Milan also keen on bringing him in.
The former Feyenoord striker joined Southampton under former boss Ronald Koeman and has made a huge impact at St. Mary’s, helping the club become a top six Premier League side.
The Italy international has netted 23 times in 68 league games over the past two seasons, prompting speculation over his future and a possible return to Serie A with a so-called big club.
AC Milan are named in the report as a potential suitor, while Koeman is seemingly keen to bring him to Everton following his move to Goodison Park, although the Dutchman allegedly faces competition from Chelsea.
Italian boss Antonio Conte is set to start working with the Blues within seven days, and the report goes on to say that the West London club will launch an official offer for Pelle sometime next week.
That said, the biggest offer on the table has come from China where Shanghai Greeland, a team currently boasting Demba Ba and Fredy Guarin in attack, are looking to bolster their striker ranks.
Pelle, 30, is arguably too good and too young to move to Asia, yet the reported yearly salary on offer must be hugely enticing and it is only a matter of time before more big-name stars head over that way.
