Everton’s Sandro Ramirez has spent the past six months on loan at Sevilla.
According to a report in Mundo Deportivo, Everton’s Sandro Ramirez wants to join Sevilla on a permanent basis, but the Merseyside club’s managerial change could alter the situation.
The former Barcelona man only joined Everton from Malaga on a four-year deal last summer after they triggered his £5.2 million release clause, but he struggled to make an impact.
Following the sacking of Ronald Koeman and the subsequent arrival of Sam Allardyce, Sandro found himself out of the first-team picture and swiftly returned to Spain in January on a six-month loan.
His stint at Sevilla has been much more successful, making 17 appearances in all competitions including a 45-minute spell during Sevilla’s disappointing Copa Del Rey final defeat to Barcelona.
Mundo Deportivo claim that Sandro is desperate to join the Andalusian club on a permanent basis, but the recent dismissal of Sam Allardyce at Everton could complicate matters as the club seek a new manager.
Sando evidently wasn’t in Allardyce’s plans and had the former England manager retained his Everton position, in all likelihood the 22-year-old attacker would have been moved on.
But Everton’s next manager may decide to count on his services, and considering he still has three years left on his Goodison Park contract, Sandro may not be in the best of positions to force an exit.
It remains to be seen who Everton appoint as Allardyce’s successor, but whoever the Toffees opt for, they have a big job on their hands to claim successful results all while pleasing a demanding crowd with entertaining football.
