Reading’s Liam Moore has been linked with Brighton and Hove Albion.

According to Sky Sports (live transfer thread, July 27 at 17:32), Reading’s Liam Moore has handed in a transfer request as he seemingly looks to push through a move to the Premier League.
Brighton have been accredited with making two bids for the player, cited in the report by Sky Sports, but as yet they haven’t managed to conclude a deal despite their activity this summer.
The Seagulls have already strengthened their squad with as many as eight new signings, while recent reports in The Sun claim Independiente del Valle youngster Billy Arce is close to becoming their ninth addition.
But of all their new signings this summer, only 30-year-old Leon Balogun is a central defender and it’s presumed Chris Hughton is still on the lookout to add competition to the likes of Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy.
Moore has been a key player for Reading since joining the club in the summer of 2016 and in his debut campaign he played in all 46 Championship matches as the Berkshire club reached the playoff final.

The former Leicester City man only signed a new four-year contract last summer, but a disappointing campaign with the Royals dented his aspirations of playing Premier League football with the club.
Now it appears the 25-year-old is intent on pushing a move to the top-flight with Brighton, leaving boss Paul Clement in a sticky position only a week ahead of his side’s opening game of the season with Derby County.
