Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has confirmed that Mario Vrancic has made a swift recovery from injury while Timm Klose and Moritz Leitner are also back in contention to start, Eastern Daily Press reports.

“He [Mario Vrancic] has already took part in training and since Thursday in team training so he is available for this weekend. It was a huge surprise to us he is back in the mix and it is a credit to our sports science and physio guys,” Farke explained.

“All the other guys at Bolton are available and both Timm Klose and Moritz Leitner have had another full week of training.”

Norwich host Bristol City in arguably the Championship’s outstanding game this weekend. The Robins head into the fixture having won seven league matches in succession, climbing up to sixth spot in the table.

The Canaries meanwhile bounced back from defeat at Preston North End to thrash Bolton Wanderers 4-0 in their last outing, and now they can welcome Bristol City with key players returning to the fold.

Vrancic had been in excellent form prior to his injury sustained in the 3-0 win over rivals Ipswich Town. The 29-year-old has scored seven goals and grabbed five assists in just 12 league starts this term, including a double in the 3-1 win at promotion rivals Leeds United.

Leitner, meanwhile, has featured for just 56 minutes since November following a lengthy injury spell. The German midfielder makes the Canaries tick in midfield, racking up an average 85.5% pass-accuracy rate.

Klose also hasn’t featured since New Year’s Day and his return at the back will provide a big boost to the Norfolk Side. Youngster Ben Godfrey has stood in and performed well, but Klose’s experience could be key in the promotion run-in.
