West Ham United face competition to sign AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli have made an offer for AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca.
The report claims that West Ham United have reached an agreement with Milan in terms of a fee to sign Bacca, yet the Colombian remains hesitant and now Napoli have made a move.
The Italian giants are on the lookout for a new striker after agreeing to sell top goal scorer Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus, and they are said to have offerered Milan £16.75 million plus Omar El Kaddouri.
West Ham have made no secret of their desire to sign a new striker this summer, and names such as Alexandre Lacazette, Michy Batshuayi and Christian Benteke have all been linked.
Co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan wish to provide boss Slaven Bilic with the tools to fire the Hammers to a top four spot in the Premier League this coming season.
However, their bid to sign Bacca thus far has proven frustrating, with the player so far stalling on a move to East London despite the fact a fee has been agreed for his services.
Now, Napoli have joined the race to sign him, though Gianluca Di Marzio goes on to say that their opening bid has fallen short of Milan’s demands as they look for a deal similar to what West Ham have on the table.
Bacca, 29, topped Milan’s scoring charts last season, scoring an impressive 18 Serie A goals over the course of the campaign.
