Manchester City have been linked with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.

According to The Sun, Manchester City are lining up a shock deal for Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.
The report claims that City boss Pep Guardiola is looking at a potential reunion with his fellow Spaniard, and that a £20 million bid is set to be made ahead of the January transfer window.
Fabregas was a key member of Chelsea’s Premier League title triumph in the 2014/15 season, yet last year he struggled to replicate his previous form and has since fallen out of favour with new boss Antonio Conte.
The former Arsenal midfielder has been replaced in midfield by the tireless N’Golo Kante, restricting the 29-year-old to just 87 minutes of Premier League action this season.

City, without a win in four matches in all competitions, are still somewhat short of the quality boss Guardiola is looking for and the midfield area has become a concern.
With Fernandinho having little competition with Fernando and Yaya Toure out of the picture, City could see Fabregas as the ideal player to come in and freshen things up.

The Sun claims the midfielder rejected moves to both AC Milan and Juventus in the summer as Chelsea seem intent on letting him go, yet he is contemplating his future at Stamford Bridge.
City are said to be happy to match his current £160,000 a week contract, and at the end of his Etihad stay they could help him make the switch the MLS sister side New York City.
