According to The Sun, Liverpool’s Tiago Ilori is closing in on a switch to Olympiakos.
The report claims that the Reds feel the Portuguese defender is not ready for Premier League action and as a result Olympiakos are close to agreeing a £5 million deal for the player.
Ilori, 23, joined Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon in 2013 after showing plenty of promise in youth football.

The Portuguese U23 international then went on to have loan spells at Granada, Bordeaux and Aston Villa, though with the llatter he failed to register a single Premier League appearance.
Ilori ultimately hasn’t developed as well as Liverpool would have liked, and as a result at 23 he is now seemingly surplus to requirements at Anfield amid increased competition for places.

Liverpool are said to be willing to allow him to move on, and Olympiakos coach Paulo Bento knows the player well from his days at Sporting and that should be enough to close a deal.
Ilori has never featured for Liverpool in a league match since joining the Merseysiders, and now a move to Olympiakos could be exactly what he needs in order to get his career back on track.
