Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez could be following N’Golo Kante out the door.

According to the Mirror, Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez is set to snub a new £100,000 per week contract offer.
The report claims that the winger wants to follow N’Golo Kante out of the door following his move to Chelsea, situation which will alert clubs such as Barcelona and Arsenal.
Mahrez joined Leicester as an unknown quantity while they were in the Championship, and he soon adhered himself to supporters by playing a key role in the club’s ensuing promotion.

The Algeria international has gone on to rapidly improve over the past 18 months, so much so that last season he was widely regarded as the outstanding performer in the Premier League.
The report lists Arsenal as a keen admirer, with boss Arsene Wenger seemingly impressed by the winger’s ability to run at defenders, play on the counterattack and provide plenty of goals and assists.
Leicester would have known that heavy interest in his services was likely this summer, yet now they face the prospect of potentially losing him following his decision to turn down a new deal.

The former Le Havre man has a huge contract offer on the table, but should he set his sights on a move to the Gunners it’s likely he could earn a similar deal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Foxes evidently see him as a key member of their first-team plans, but as shown by Kante’s switch to Chelsea, they have a value for each player and it won’t be beyond Arsenal’s reach.
