Fulham, Cardiff City and Leicester City have been linked with Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne.

According to a report in The Sun, Fulham have emerged as the favourites to sign Liverpool’s out-of-favour right-back Nathaniel Clyne with the London club seeking a loan deal in January.
The report claims Clyne favours a move back to the capital, while Cardiff City and Leicester City are also keen though Liverpool are said to be uncertain over his first-team chances with the Foxes.
Fulham failed to solve their right-back problem last summer as regular first-teamer Ryan Fredericks left the Cottagers to join rivals West Ham United on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract.
Former Derby County and Middlesbrough right-back Cyrus Christie has taken his place, yet the Republic of Ireland international has shown his defensive frailties and at times has looked out of his depth.
Fulham, now under the guidance of recently-appointed manager Claudio Ranieri, will set their sights on bolstering the squad in January despite spending over £100 million in the summer (Standard).
Clyne came through the youth ranks at Crystal Palace before having a spell at Southampton prior to his £12.5 million move to Liverpool (The Sun) in the summer of 2015, with the player signing a five-year deal.

Despite initially consolidating himself in Liverpool’s first-team, Clyne has since struggled for opportunities with the exciting Trent Alexander-Arnold now a mainstay in the side with Joe Gomez a reliable back-up at right-back despite naturally being a central defender.
Clyne, 27, has featured just once all season and he will be desperate for regular first-team action making a six-month loan move to Fulham a potential deal which could work out for all parties involved.
