Accoridng to Gianluca Di Marzio, Everton have seen a £10.2 million bid for Lille’sDjibril Sidibe turned down as a number of teams eye a deal for talented defender.

The Itlalian editorial claims that Serie A side Roma are the latest to show an interest in the young fullback but they have been warned over his potential cost as Everton have already seen an eight-figure fee rejected.

The Toffees are looking to strengthen their squad this summer as new boss Ronald Koeman looks to put a team together which will challenge at the top end of the Premier League table.

Everton already have the base of a decent team, yet they arguably lack quality in depth in certain areas and a new fullback to challenge both Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines would be ideal.

Sidibe spent the majority of last season playing as a left-back for Lille though he is versatile and also covered positions at right-back and right midfield, making a total of 37 Ligue 1 appearances.

A former France U21 international, Sidibe was on stand-by for the Euro 2016 squad following his impressive campaign and many back in France have tipped him for a big move this summer.

West Ham United, Watford and Arsenal have all been linked with him (the Daily Mail), though it appears Everton pushed to the front of the queue by making an official offer for the player.

However, Lille are seemingly intent on keeping hold of ther prized asset and now it remains to be seen whether the Toffees come back in with a new and improved bid.
