Everton’s James McCarthy has fallen out of favour under Ronald Koeman.

According to The Sun, Everton are open to selling James McCarthy if a £15 million bid comes in.
The report claims that Toffees boss Ronaldo Koeman is already checking out potential replacements as the club looks to sell the midfielder during the January transfer window.
McCarthy joined Everton in the summer of 2013, trading Wigan Athletic for Goodison Park.

The 25-year-old quickly became a regular under former boss Roberto Martinez, making 91 Premier League appearances over the past three years under the now Belgium national team coach.
However, McCarthy was struck by injury at the start of the campaign and he has since struggled to break in under new boss Koeman, making just two league appearances this term.
With Idrissa Gueye and Gareth Barry occupying the holding midfield spots, McCarthy is seemingly now deemed surplus to requirements and could leave the club in the January transfer window.

The Sun reports that Everton are looking for a fee in the region of £15 million, a reasonable fee considering the current transfer market and McCarthy being an international midfielder with plenty left in the tank.
The 25-year-old was named FAI young international player of the year in both 2012 and 2013.
