Brighton and Hove Albion have been linked with Huddersfield Town’s Aaron Mooy.

According to a report in the Examiner, Brighton and Hove Albion must pay in excess of £15 million if they are to buy Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy ahead of the transfer deadline.
The report claims Huddersfield’s Mooy has emerged as a deadline day target for Brighton as manager Graham Potter wants to strengthen the Seagulls’ midfield before the 5:00pm deadline cut-off.
The former Manchester City man cost Huddersfield £10 million two years ago after playing a crucial part in the club’s promotion to the Premier League.
Mooy was later influential in Huddersfield’s Premier League survival in 2017-18, but last season the Terriers succumbed to relegation back to the Championship having picked up just 16 points.
Huddersfield have been vulnerable to losing their better players this summer, and they decided to grant Philip Billing a move to Bournemouth after the south coast club met his £15 million price tag.

The Examiner claim the Terriers will seek even more for Mooy, but that might not put Brighton off as the Seagulls have already spent £40 million on former Championship duo Neal Maupay and Adam Webster.
Mooy, 28, has demonstrated his ability to play at the top level. Huddersfield won’t want to lose him, but the report adds Jan Siewert’s side have potential targets in mind should they lose any key squad members on Thursday.
