Arsenal have been linked with Bristol City’s Lloyd Kelly.

According to a report in the Sun, Arsenal are targeting a move for Bristol City’s Lloyd Kelly as boss Unai Emery wants to add young players on the cheap this summer who could be ready for first-team action next season.
The Gunners are in danger of missing out on a Champions League place next season as a top four spot is now beyond them. The north London’s club only hope is beating Chelsea in the upcoming Europa League final.
Financially, Arsenal have fallen behind their rivals and now manager Unai Emery is seeking an alternative method of closing the gap on those above them in a bid to once again challenge for the title.
The Sun claims the Gunners are keen to avoid splashing out huge transfer fees especially in defence. Instead, they will look to sign younger players with huge potential, identifying Kelly as a viable option.
The England U21 international has been instrumental for Bristol City this season. He has made 26 Championship starts this term, with the bulk of those at left-back though his is capable of playing in the middle.
Kelly has been described by Bristol City boss Lee Johnson as a Rolls Royce of a player by the Bristol Post. Standing at 6ft 3inch, he is physically imposing while possessing plenty of technical ability.

Arsenal have struggled defensively this season, and most would consider their back line as an area for improvement. Shkodran Mustafi has been singled out on several occasions for his poor form.
Kelly may not be ready for a first-team spot at the Emirates right away, yet he boasts enormous potential and the Robins would not have managed a surge for the play-offs without his presence in the team.
North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have reaped the rewards of investing in younger players. Perhaps now is the time for Arsenal to do the same and signing Kelly could be a good place to start.
